I am a Realtor, I work on the buyer behalf. 3 years ago I would have said Adams was one of the better spec.

home builders in our area, now they are the worst. The last 2 homes our buyers bought had too many defects. 2x4 studs I saw before walls closed were what I would call rejects. House is being laid out different that buyer contracted for, Adams won't pay any attention to complaints from buyer or me.

At this point buyer is getting lawyer, he is over a barrel, Adams has $20,000 of his money for upgrades. This is the second house I have sold lately, will not refer anyone else to Adams Homes, Beware.

Location: Orlando, Florida

I'm irate that i bought a new house from Adams. I have lived in it for 6 months and everything is going wrong, from electric to big drywall lumps all over the walls.

Warranty does not care and they suck at trying to help. They don't care after you sign papers.

I have talked to higher management and they STILL DON'T CARE!!!!!!! DON'T SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THESE CHEAP HOUSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Adams Homes Buyers Beware!!! I am a fairly new homeowner...

I do not know how many individuals that are logged into this site that are currently new homeowners who are within their 1 year warranty period. When you purchased your home, some may have heard or been told that you did not have anything to worry about because you had this wonderful thing called a Builders Warranty that covered different types of defects. So during your walk through if you found anything minor, you did not have to worry, you had this wonderful document. Well guess what, hopefully you will not find that it is not worth the paper it is written on.

Why, because you are working with individuals who are either told or are taking it upon themselves to save money for a company that has already gotten yours. If you read the document, they will do a "1" time fix on any item that is having a problem..... therefore, if your heating and cooling is not working well, follow the three 'f's. Either freeze, fry or fix it yourself....

remember '1' time. Because if they half fix it, you will be fixing it yourself later. If your plumbing is not right, you can still find yourself still up to your elbow in ***.... Every BBB website that you go to research show that there are only '8-9' complaints (really) but 100s of letters from individuals who have or are living the Adams Homes, LLC dream (nightmare) on various websites.

Since Adams Homes pays for the accreditation could there be a reasoning behind the low number on the site? I found I am not the only one who is fortunate to have a backyard that flood, along with two other neighbors, or a ceiling that looks like a ruffle potato chip because of ridging. Homes that have tile cracking, wood flooring separating, and numerous other addressed issues. We all work hard to pay for what we have regardless of what it cost or the square footage.

I did not move into a neighborhood to watch it turn into a bad land because the houses start to fall down within a couple of years due to workmanship (seen or unseen) or houses cannot sale because so much is wrong it cost more to get out then in. The response time will be lousy. When you send an email (make sure your do), attach pictures, videos, etc., they will be appeasing, concerned, and very nice. The individual responding to your inquiry to tell you who will be getting back with you, the Warranty Manager, you may or may not hear from him (depends on the complexity) or the minor fix-it guy.

Oh yeah, sometimes, the receptionist does give you fix-it advise until someone can get with you.

New prospective buyers should read the paperwork well as they might find something like a mailbox (now "optional" as a new resident just found out on move-in) or some other item missing. Homeowners now being told that mailboxes are an option but please take your $300 and use our contractor and make sure that he installs the one that looks like the others (nope not me, buying the best one in town of my own choosing).

Whoever is running Adams Homes at this time should stand behind all their homes not just the ones that give them raving reviews. My dollars went into the bank just as well as the ones that look nice and pretty.

I was excited about the purchase of my home just like the one that have no defects that all I am asking for is to be fixed. The company hid my defects, knowing they existed, knowing they would appear, and now want someone to live with it.

I am a new homeowner from Adams home. I must agree over 100% that no one should purchase from Adams Homes.

I do not even live then and closed weeks ago due to the poor workmanship. And the filth who would expect to spend their hard earned money on a poor quality home.

I know that I could probably have found a home already built but we wanted to custom , our orevious homes was custom and not an issue. So Beware they real you in and hang you out to dry.

That is what I did. This was my first build from the ground.

All others were resales. I went from a recommendation and looking at a couple of my home. I wanted something of my own for once. Bad decision.

I got screwed. It was like no one cared. Being a past licensed real estate agent with less than two years out of the business, I was floored on how two company representatives of a builders could stand there and talk so freely about what they knew was wrong and covered up.

They talked like they know there is nothing going to happen and that the company stands behind them 100%. If this is not the case, they sure pass the illusion.

Stop the BS. 2015 BUYER SPEC HOME.

Yes had wal through. All Brite open windows, all lights on....in able to see crooked lines, damaged dry wall, every door way feel rough. Found Hugh horribly patched wall behind door. Tub was shoved into smaller space it needed.

Found that out as I leaned on wall, bad keen, and wall caved in a least an inch. I looked closer. Drywall screwed up, framing must of been way off smaller as u go up. Noted curved base board to prove unevenness.

Baseboards, trims doorways. Start to realize there is splattered paint or texture. Only 6 month home. Cracks starting everywhere.

I have doctor bills during to stress. And soon Adams will be paying those along with attorney fees.

If you find simple of hundreds of things wrong. What us wrong that you can see?????
